Last spring, the district was awarded with a school safety grant from the State of Missouri. With these funds, we were able to update/replace several systems to go along with our district funded Z-lock lockdown systems that were purchased and installed last fall. We updated our exterior kitchen door and interior door to the office, put in an automated access control for main entrances, added speakers to tie in an intercom system to our phones, installed a secure window into our main office, and will be finishing an update and expansion of our camera system.
These updates go a long way in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students and staff!
Our girls did a great job at the State Cross Country meet today! What a way to cap off a season full of successes for the whole team.
The JH Basketball game for Friday @ St. Andrews has been moved to a 5:30 start time instead of 6. The bus will leave Prairie Home at 4:15. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

With High School practice starting today, the bus will leave normal time (3:30) for practice, but will not return until the final practice is over at 7 PM. In accordance with state statute 160.077, the district recently conducted a test of all water sources for their level of lead within school-owned buildings. The results can be found under the documents folder on the school webpage. None of the main sources for drinking or cooking were found to have EPA designated elevated levels. Some other areas will be retested and remediation will occur after those results are in. Until then, those areas will undergo daily flushing before use to ensure their safety.
District Cross Country @ South Callaway, 10/28. Great racing by all of our cross country runners this afternoon! Hunter and Dorothy will be moving on to State next Friday!
I want to personally apologize for the miscommunication and runaround at the JH game this evening in new Franklin. The New Franklin AD and I had a discussion on Wednesday and there was a disconnect somewhere. I take full responsibility for it and again apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
