After assessing progress of roads today and taking into account the refreeze and weather coming in, we will be closed again tomorrow, Friday January 10.
Due to ongoing poor road conditions, we will not be participating in the New Franklin basketball tournament tonight. This decision was required to be made early in the day due to the nature of planning a tournament with 8 different districts involved. While improvement has been made on main roads, many side roads and outer highways remain covered and unsafe for travel, especially at the late hours that students would be returning after the games. We are working with the involved athletic departments for what the plan forward looks like.
We have not made a decision on school tomorrow and will continue to monitor the outer highways that are necessary for the safe execution of snow routes in our buses. We will send out notice when that decision has been made.
A large percentage of our snow routes and turnarounds have not improved to the point where buses can safely navigate them. School will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th.
Due to continued poor road conditions, there will be no school, tomorrow January 8th.
We will keep an eye on progress tomorrow and make any necessary decisions on evening activities in a timely manner.

The New Franklin Tournament games for tonight and Tomorrow have been postponed. A new schedule is being arranged and will be sent out when it is complete.
For the safety of our students and staff, school will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday January 7th due to road conditions.
