 Easter Break:  Easter Break will begin on Thursday, April 14th and classes will resume on Wednesday, April 20th.

            Academic Awards Banquet:  Wednesday, May 11th @ 6:15 p.m.

            Last Day of School/Early Dismissal:  Friday, May 13th @ 12:30 p.m.

2022 CCAA Math Contest Results:  See the Facebook page or website for the 2022 CCAA Math Contest Results.  Great job J.H. & H.S. Students!!!

Hat Day for the Gauthier Family:  PHS is having a Hat Day on Friday, April 22nd in honor and in memory of Regina Gauthier.  Regina is the mother of 8th grader Alana Gauthier.  Pay $1.00 to allow your student to wear a hat all day, or if you would like to make a donation to the family, please feel free to do so.  All proceeds, cards, etc. will be given to Alana Gauthier and her family.

PHS Spring Concert:  Please join us for PHS Spring Concert that will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the gymnasium.  We hope you enjoy the music provided by our 5th & 6th Grade Band, 7th – 12th Grade Band, and the 9th-12th Grade Choir.  Don’t miss this wonderful night of entertainment.

Prairie Home PTO Carnival:  The Prairie Home PTO Carnival has been rescheduled to Friday, April 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Athletic Awards Banquet:  This year the Booster Club is having a Carry-In Dinner for the Athletic Awards night on Tuesday, May 10th.  The Booster Club is providing the meat, drinks, and table service.  We are asking the parents to bring a side dish or dessert.

Easter Egg Hunt:  Please note the attachment for the Community Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Prairie Home Methodist Church for ages 10 and under.  This will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 10:00 a.m.

Annual Title 1 Pizza & Painting Event:  The Annual Title 1 Pizza & Painting Event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26th, after school from 3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.  If parents would like to be informed and involved in the planning for Title 1 policies, school-parent compacts, and end of the year information about the Title 1 program, please arrive at 4:00 p.m. in the cafeteria for a short meeting before you pick your child up.  Be on the lookout for a sign-up sheet after Spring Break.

Negative Lunch Balances:  For those students with a negative lunch balance, as of Monday, April 4th, the student will not be able to purchase extras at breakfast or lunch.  Due to the end of the year rapidly approaching, please make sure your student(s) have money in their lunch accounts

 After School Pick-Up:  In the afternoons when parents are picking up students, we place orange cones to help isolate the traffic flow and prevent multiple lines of cars.  This is for student safety purposes.  When picking up your child (ren), please don’t drive through or move those cones.  Thank you for your help and attention with this.  The safety of our students is very important to us!!

 Student Pick-Up:  If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes.

 Medication:  All medication, both over-the-counter as well as prescription, must be given to the school nurse.  Serious consequences may result if a student is found with any drugs including over the counter or prescription.  First offense may result in 10 days of O.S.S.  Over-the-counter or prescription drugs may not be kept in purses, pockets, book bags, lockers or anywhere else on school grounds.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Simmons at 660-841-5296.

Food Service:  Please be sure and keep your student’s Food Service accounts up to date.  Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance it will be in parentheses).  If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras”.
