Every school year brings about different challenges and this year is no different. Mrs. Hollbrook, our ELA teacher, decided to retire. With her exit we are faced with replacing her mid year which is even more difficult than normal. However, we have a great staff that is flexible and willing to step up and fill in, and that is what I love about working here.
This semester Mr. Inmon is going to facilitate the HS English classes using our Edmentum courseware, and Mrs. Paulson will teach our JH English classes. A combination of teachers will be covering Mr. Inmon’s normal Edmentum classes as he covers the high school ELA classes. Mrs. Kostopolus (Mrs. K) will temporarily cover the library part of the day and Ms. Bolin will be covering some of the online responsibilities.
We also lost one of our special education paraprofessionals, Ms. Abby Brueckner, who finished her degree and accepted a teaching position at Pilot Grove, so we are working hard to replace her in the special education department. Mrs. K, Mrs. Chapins, and Mrs. Hodges are all working hard together to insure our students are getting the service they deserve.
