We are currently in Category 1 of our COVID-19 Guidelines & Protocols Re-Entry Plan. All Students are strongly encouraged to wear masks while at school which includes the hallways, school buses, classrooms and any area where social distancing is not possible.

Last Day of School/Early Dismissal: Our last day of school is on Tuesday, May 18th and will be an early dismissal at 12:30 p.m.

Drinks & Food Delivery for Students: If you are going to deliver drinks or food for your students, please deliver them to the front office during their lunch hours only and not at any other time of the day. All deliveries must go through the office. This is a matter of safety and sanitation for all of our students, as well as becoming a big disruption in classrooms.

Negative Balance Food Service Accounts: Due to the rapidly approaching end of the school year, as of Monday, May 3rd those students with a negative food service account balance will not be allowed to receive “extras” until funds are placed in their accounts. All positive balances will roll forward into the 2021-2022 school year. Thank you for your attention to this matter. It is much appreciated!

Immunizations: If you have received a letter from Nina Simmons, our health aide, please be sure and get your student(s) updated on their immunizations over the summer.

H.S. Academic Awards Banquet: The PHS H.S. Academic Awards Banquet that is scheduled for Monday, May 10th with dinner to be served at 6:15 p.m. and the Awards Ceremony to follow.

Athletic Awards: The PHS Athletic Awards Ceremony will be held on May 11th at 6:30 p.m. Cookies & punch will be served but there will not be a meal served for the Athletic Awards Ceremony. Please join us as celebrate the accomplishments of our athletes.

Breakfast and Lunch Cost Changes: Due to a new offering from the State of Missouri, all students at PHS will receive a free breakfast and lunch. Students will still be charged for any extra’s they eat. A small extra is .75 and a large extra is $1.00. The free breakfasts and lunches started on Sept. 10th and will now continue until the end of the school year.

Student Pick-Up: If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes.

Medication: All medication, both over-the-counter as well as prescription, must be given to the school health aide. Serious consequences may result if a student is found with any drugs including over the counter or prescription. First offense may result in 10 days of O.S.S. Over-the-counter or prescription drugs may not be kept in purses, pockets, book bags, lockers or anywhere else on school grounds. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Simmons at 660-841-5296.

Food Service: Please be sure and keep your student’s Food Service accounts up to date. Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance it will be in parentheses). If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras”. If your student’s balance falls negative more than $5.00, they will be eating a cheese sandwich (for which they will not be charged) and milk (for which they will be charged.)
