We are currently in Category 1 of our COVID-19 Guidelines & Protocols Re-Entry Plan. All Students are strongly encouraged to wear masks while at school which includes the hallways, school buses, classrooms and any area where social distancing is not possible.

Drinks & Food Delivery for Students: If you are going to deliver drinks or food for your students, please deliver them to the front office during their lunch hours only and not at any other time of the day. All deliveries must go through the office. This is a matter of safety and sanitation for all of our students, as well as becoming a big disruption in classrooms.

Great Job: Great job to our H.S. Track Team on their performances at the Centralia Track Meet.
Congratulations to Madison Brown who received a medal for 6th place in the 300 meter hurdles and to Savanna Tracy who received a 6th place medal in the 100 meter hurdles. Great job everyone!!

Great Job: Great Job to our H.S. track team on their performance at the Westran Relays. Congratulations to those receiving medals: Savanna Tracy – 3rd in the 1600 m, Ryan Small – 10th in the 100m hurdles which was a team record, and Blane Petsel – 3rd in the 400m. Great job everyone!!

Tuscumbia Baseball Game Rescheduled: The Tuscumbia Baseball game has been rescheduled to Friday, April 23rd at Prairie Home. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.

Russellville Track Meet: PHS will not attend the Russellville Invitational that had been rescheduled to Saturday, April 17th .

Sophomore Class Fundraiser: The sophomore class is holding a raffle for a hand knitted afghan. This “one of a kind” afghan features orange and black squares with bursts of red on each square. If you would like to participate in this event, tickets are $1.00 per ticket or $5.00 for 6 tickets. Individuals wanting to buy a ticket can talk to any sophomore, or tickets will be available at any Home Baseball Game. All proceeds will go to the sophomore class for Prom & Graduation expenses. Tickets go on sale March 29th and the raffle will end on April 30th . The drawing will be held on May 3rd and the winner will be notified to pick up their “one of a kind” afghan. On behalf of the sophomore class, we thank you for your generosity and your
willingness to help the sophomore students at PHS. We would also like to send a special thanks to Anna Richards for her time, effort and generous donation of the beautiful afghan. It will help the sophomores one step closer to their goal.

Breakfast and Lunch Cost Changes: Due to a new offering from the State of Missouri, all students at PHS will receive a free breakfast and lunch. Students will still be charged for any extra’s they eat. A small extra is .75 and a large extra is $1.00. The free breakfasts and lunches started on Sept. 10th and will now continue until the end of the school year.

Student Pick-Up: If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes.

Medication: All medication, both over-the-counter as well as prescription, must be given to the school health aide. Serious consequences may result if a student is found with any drugs including over the counter or prescription. First offense may result in 10 days of O.S.S. Over-the-counter or prescription drugs may not be kept in purses, pockets, book bags, lockers or anywhere else on school grounds. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Simmons at 660-841-5296.

Food Service: Please be sure and keep your student’s Food Service accounts up to date. Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance it will be in parentheses). If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras”. If your student’s balance falls negative more than $5.00, they will be eating a cheese sandwich (for which they will not be charged) and milk (for which they will be charged.)
