The Junior Class Pizza fundraiser is due by October 20. Please make sure to get your pizza forms with payments turned into a Junior sponsor or the office by Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
The annual pumpkin decorating contest is underway and we have some amazing pumpkins turned in already. The contest runs from October 14-28. If you would like to vote for your favorite pumpkin you can purchase tickets in the office for $1 a piece.
2026/2027 Yearbooks are available for $30.00 each. See attached form to order.
Don’t forget! PTO first movie night this coming Friday, October 23, 2026. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Movies playing are Spooky Buddies and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Concessions will be available to purchase. Admission is free.
Our first Title 1 reading night will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. A light dinner will be served so please fill out the form with the number attending so they have enough food.
Grandparents day will be on November 5, 2026 starting at 2:15 p.m. Please fill out the attached form to help the staff prepare snacks.
This is the last week to turn in your orders for boo grams. All the funds will help the junior class pay for prom and senior year next year.
The Prairie Home Lions Club Annual Smoked Turkey and Fried Chicken dinner will be held Sunday, October 25, 2026 in the Prairie Home School Cafeteria beginning at 11:00 a.m. Proceeds will help complete work on the new helipad/pickleball court.
The junior high basketball conference tournament will begin next week in Vienna. The girls play on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 against St. Elizabeth at 5:00 p.m. The girls will be in a pool play. Our junior high boys will play Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. They will play in a bracket. Both are attached for game times and dates.
Student Pick-Up: If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes. Any transportation changes should be communicated with the office. Messages sent to teachers and/or bus drivers aren't always communicated with the office.
Medication: Remember to bring in any medications you would like your children to take while at school. Tylenol, Motrin and Tums are the only medications the school will provide. If they need allergy medications or any prescription medications parents will have to bring them in with instructions.
Food Service: Remember to keep lunch account balance up to date. With access to teacherease everyone should be able to see their child's lunch account balance and also have the ability to pay online. If you are having trouble logging in to teacherease please reach out to the office for assistance. The black box is still available for payment drop off outside of the office door.
