The Prairie Home Junior Class Pizza fundraiser has started and will continue through October 20, 2026. If your family or friends are interested in ordering pizzas, please fill out the attached forms and return to the school office with collected payment before October 20th. Pizzas will be delivered on November 5, 2026 at 2:45 p.m. The Junior Class is very small this year and can use all the help we can offer them.
It’s that time of year again for the annual pumpkin decorating contest. Paint, decorate and design your one of a kind pumpkin! The contest will run from October 14-28.
Yearbooks are now on sale for the 26/27 school year. See attached form to order by cash or check. We will also have a QR code available in the near future with the opportunity to place your order online. Yearbooks are $30 each at this time.
Prairie Home PTO Movie Night is planned for Friday, October 23. Doors open at 6:15 pm, and the movie starts at 6:30 pm. Concessions will be available to purchase. Movies playing are Spooky Buddies and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Admission is free.
Our first Title 1 reading night will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. A light dinner will be served with an activity after. It is always a fun night so mark your calendars and come join in the fun!
Grandparents day will be on November 5, 2026 starting at 2:15 p.m. Please fill out the attached form to help the staff prepare snacks.
The Junior class is selling boo grams for halloween this year. If you would like to order a sucker or a pop for a friend or teacher please fill out the attached form and return to the office with payment by October 23, 2026.
The Prairie Home Junior High basketball tournament starts Tuesday, October 13th. Please see attached brackets for date and times each team plays.
Student Pick-Up: If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes. Any transportation changes should be communicated with the office. Messages sent to teachers and/or bus drivers aren't always communicated with the office.
Medication: Remember to bring in any medications you would like your children to take while at school. Tylenol, Motrin and Tums are the only medications the school will provide. If they need allergy medications or any prescription medications parents will have to bring them in with instructions.
Food Service: Remember to keep lunch account balance up to date. With access to teacherease everyone should be able to see their child's lunch account balance and also have the ability to pay online. If you are having trouble logging in to teacherease please reach out to the office for assistance. The black box is still available for payment drop off outside of the office door.
