Reminder: Picture retakes and fall sports pictures are scheduled for Friday, October 9, 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m. Athletes should receive directions from coaches on what they need as far as uniforms. Students will not be allowed to leave the building for missing or forgotten pieces. Please help them plan ahead so they have everything they need.
The Prairie Home Junior Class Pizza fundraiser has started and will continue through October 20, 2026. If your family or friends are interested in ordering pizzas, please fill out the attached forms and return to the school office with collected payment before October 20th. Pizzas will be delivered on November 5, 2026 at 2:45 p.m. The Junior Class is very small this year and can use all the help we can offer them.
It’s that time of year again for the annual pumpkin decorating contest. Paint, decorate and design your one of a kind pumpkin! The contest will run from October 14-28.
October 4-10 is Fire Safety Week. The Prairie Home Fire Department will plan an educational visit that day. It is also important to discuss fire safety at home with your students.
Yearbooks are now on sale for the 26/27 school year. See attached form to order by cash or check. We will also have a QR code available in the near future with the opportunity to place your order online. Yearbooks are $30 each at this time.
Prairie Home Rec League is sending out cheer sign ups and information about basketball skills camps. Please see attached forms for more information. Cheer forms are due back by 10/9/2026. This is the last week to turn in cheer forms. If your child is interested please return to school with payment by next friday.
Prairie Home Panther Booster Club is looking for sponsors for the 2026/2027 school year. Please see the flyer to sign up and for more details.
Prairie Home PTO Movie Night is planned for Friday, October 23. Doors open at 6:15 pm, and the movie starts at 6:30 pm. Concessions will be available to purchase. Movies playing are Spooky Buddies and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Admission is free.
Student Pick-Up: If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes. Any transportation changes should be communicated with the office. Messages sent to teachers and/or bus drivers aren't always communicated with the office.
Medication: Remember to bring in any medications you would like your children to take while at school. Tylenol, Motrin and Tums are the only medications the school will provide. If they need allergy medications or any prescription medications parents will have to bring them in with instructions.
Food Service: Remember to keep lunch account balance up to date. With access to teacherease everyone should be able to see their child's lunch account balance and also have the ability to pay online. If you are having trouble logging in to teacherease please reach out to the office for assistance. The black box is still available for payment drop off outside of the office door.
