Friday: Breakfast - Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit or Cereal, Fruit Juice, Milk

Yearbooks are now $35.00 each. Please discard any old forms and send money with the new forms attached to the newsletter.  You can still order online at yearbookforever.com.

PTO Trivia Night will be Friday, March 6, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Registration form is attached. Please send back to school with the fee by Thursday, February 26, 2026. 

If anyone is interested in joining the Lions Club they are having a dinner/meeting on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lions Club Building. Please RSVP by text or call Jenny Alpers 660-537-1266. If you would like to join and can’t make it to the meeting, please let any Lions Club member know. 

PTO Sponsored, Me and My Special Someone Dance has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for grades Pre-K through 5th. Admission is $3 or 3 perishable items per couple. All proceeds will go to the Mustard seed food pantry in PH. The theme is neon. The dance will be held in the Prairie Home School Cafeteria. 

Prairie Home Rec. Association summer ball sign up forms are attached. The deadline for signups ends on February 13, 2026.

Valentine’s Day Cupid Grams are being sold from now through February 10. See order form for more details. 

Prairie Home School and Compass Health are partnering up to bring mobile dental care to our school on March 30-April 1, 2026. You can sign up online using the QR code or we have paper applications available in the office. 

PBIS Dress Up Days: QR Points will be awarded for participation.

Student Pick-Up:  If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes. Any transportation changes should be communicated with the office. Messages sent to teachers and/or bus drivers aren't always communicated with the office. 

Medication:  All medication, both over-the-counter as well as prescription, must be given to the school health aide.  Serious consequences may result if a student is found with any drugs including over the counter or prescription.  First offense may result in 10 days of O.S.S.  Over-the-counter or prescription drugs may not be kept in purses, pockets, book bags, lockers or anywhere else on school grounds.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Simmons at 660-841-5296.

Food Service:  Please be sure and keep your student’s food service accounts up to date.  Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance, it will be in parentheses).  If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras”.  If your student’s balance falls negative more than $5.00, they will be eating a cheese sandwich (for which they will not be charged) and milk (for which they will be charged.)
