Thursday, December 4 - kick off your shoes and wear slippers
Tuesday, December 9 - toasty Tuesday - wear Santa hats, beanies, fuzzy socks
Wednesday, December 10 - $1 hat day
Thursday, December 11 - Grinch Day - wear grinch attire or wear green
Tuesday, December 16 - channel your flannel - wear flannel
Wednesday, December 17 - wear your ugly Christmas sweater
Thursday, December 18 - dreaming of a white Christmas - pajama day
Friday, December 19 - wear your favorite Christmas attire
The Prairie Home Christmas Concert is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. The music department is once again doing a silent auction. They are looking for auction baskets, baked goods, and new/gently used Christmas decorations. You may drop your donations off at the front office.
Mark your calendars for this year's Christmas Festival. It will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 at the Prairie Home School. The craft show will begin at 9 a.m., Junior Class will be serving food from 10-2, Prince and Princess contest starts at 10:00 a.m. and the Christmas Parade will start at 12:30 p.m. behind the school. The theme this year is Ugly Sweater Party. Put your floats together and come join us for a fun time. Santa meet and greet will follow on the stage immediately after the parade.
Student Pick-Up: If you need to change your student’s plans for the end of the day (they will be picked up, need to ride a different bus, etc.) please call the school office before 1:00 p.m. to make those changes.
Medication: All medication, both over-the-counter as well as prescription, must be given to the school health aide. Serious consequences may result if a student is found with any drugs including over the counter or prescription. First offense may result in 10 days of O.S.S. Over-the-counter or prescription drugs may not be kept in purses, pockets, book bags, lockers or anywhere else on school grounds. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Simmons at 660-841-5296.
Food Service: Please be sure and keep your student’s food service accounts up to date. Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance it will be in parentheses). If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras”. If your student’s balance falls negative more than $5.00, they will be eating a cheese sandwich (for which they will not be charged) and milk (for which they will be charged.)
