Official Announcement: The 2024 Graduation Ceremony will be held Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Although there were plans to change that date due to Sunday being Mother’s Day, it was determined that there would be conflicts with Sectional Track. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Veterans Day Assembly: The Veteran’s Day Assembly will be held in the Prairie Home Gym on November 10th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Meet and Greet with refreshments prior at 1:30 p.m. See the attached flier for more information regarding how you or a family service member can participate.
Prairie Home Lions Club Annual Smoked Turkey and Fried Chicken Lunch will be held Sunday October 29, 2023 from 11:00-1:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria. See attached flier for more information.
Red and Black Scrimmage: The Red and Black Scrimmage is scheduled for November 4th.
Dual Credit Classes for Spring have opened. Please see Mrs. Norris to sign up.
Reminder: Art Club meets in the Art Room every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. Please see Ms. Bolin with any questions.
Recreational Basketball sign ups will go from now until November 3rd. See attached sheet for information and to sign your child up. Make sure to send payment in with sign up form.
Congratulations to the following for being accepted into the National Beta Club: Jordyn Alpers, Bowen Force, Alana Gauthier, Alexia Gentzsch, Abagail Gerke, Reagan Haslag, Tyleigh Kendrick, Dorothy Lock, Ava Marcum, Carter Pethan, Hunter Scott, and Sarah Searles. These students will officially be inducted into the Prairie Home Chapter in a ceremony at a later date.
Yearbooks: Yearbooks are now on sale for 23/24! Get one until February for $25.00.
Grandparent’s Day will be held Thursday November 2, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. See attached flier for details. Please send back to school so we can get a head count for refreshments.
PBS Dress Up Days: October 2023.
QR Points will be rewarded for those who participate.
Monday October 30: Sock it to drugs - wear crazy socks
Tuesday October 31: Scare off Drugs - wear Halloween Costumes (must be appropriate for school: no blood, no masks, no weapons, etc.)
Dismissal Times: All PHS students will be dismissed daily at 3:20 p.m. If you need to pick up your student(s) earlier than 3:20 p.m., please let the office know at 660-841-5296.
Food Service: Please be sure and keep your student’s Food Service accounts up to date. Account balance summaries will be sent home every Friday (if your student has a negative balance it will be in parentheses). If a student’s balance is negative, they will not be allowed “extras.” If your student’s balance falls negative more than $5.00, they will receive a cheese sandwich (for which they will not be charged) and milk (for which they will be charged). You can also check students' balance in Teacherease under fees.
