1st Grade:

First Grade
Mrs. Turner

We are off to a great start in First Grade!  There are 9 students in our class this year, and they have been busy.  We are enjoying reading many stories and learning new sounds.  One of our stories was about the zoo, and we will soon take a virtual tour of a zoo on our Smartboard!  We have nearly finished the first unit in reading and will soon begin the second.  In social studies, we started the year learning about our communities, and are now learning about maps.  We also have been learning about weather and the water cycle in science by doing many experiments.  Finally, in math, we have practiced counting, tally marks, and have started learning about money.

Yearbooks are $25 until December 1. Get yours now!

Welcome to a new school year!
