The 2nd grade did a pumpkin investigation with pumpkins donated by Heidi Eschenbrenner. They determined the size of their pumpkin, counted how many lines it had, predicted if it would sink or float and tested their hypothesis, and colored a picture of a pumpkin to show how they would paint it. They also predicted how many seeds their class pumpkin would have. Ms. Gebhard cut it open and they counted the seeds together. It had 415! Students got to take their pumpkins home, as well as 20 of the pumpkin seeds.
